Retreats

Holy Trinity Monastery is a semi-contemplative monastery. In keeping with the tradition of monastic hospitality, guest house facilities are offered for monastic retreats. All retreatants, coming either singly or in a group, are expected to participate in the monastic exercises of silence, solitude, simple living, community and personal prayer.

Guest quarters provide a place for prayer and reading. There are eleven rooms, single or double occupancy. Hosted are private retreats and conferences, group tours, days of reflection, spiritual counseling, Friday's Taize candlelight service The lounge in Benedict Hall and the gazebos in the plaza are used for sharing and conferences. RV spaces are available.

An organized schedule is followed for prayers, reading and meals in common.

Retreatants are requested to remain on the property during their stay and to cooperate fully with the monastery's policy so as to afford an opportunity for a fruitful monastic retreat.

YOUR STAY OFFERS YOU:

SOLITUDE: In your room, in the chapel and around the 92 acre wooded grounds with lovely ponds, balanced with community prayer and meals. 

SPIRITUAL READING
: No use of radios or TV during the Monastic retreat. Breakfast and supper in silence. Grand Silence extending from the conclusion of Compline until after breakfast. 

PRAYER
: The schedule revolves around the monastic schedule of Liturgy. Retreatants will have time for meditation and personal prayer. 

PRIESTS
are welcome to concelebrate with the monastic community. The sacristan appreciates a half-day's notice. Vesting is about ten minutes before Liturgy in the Sacristy. For a private Mass, the little chapel is available. 

WHAT TO BRING
: The climate is high desert. No need for formal attire, but warm clothes for the winter time and summer evenings. Good walking shoes. No paved roads or walks. NO shorts or sports attire are permitted in the church or dining room. Bring a flashlight and alarm clock. Basic linens and towels are provided.

RETREAT SCHEDULE:
Times for Divine Office and Daily Mass vary with the seasons and feast days. 
Generally, Vigils and Lauds, generally at 7:00 a.m. begins the day Compline at 8:00 p.m. closes the day

The following are the suggested donations for a private retreat which includes meals.
